Idyllic hiking paths lead you into Klosterforst Wood or directly along the Mulde River via Schaddel to Großbothen. On your way you will pass by the manually operated ferry. On request the ferryman will take you from Kloster Nimbschen abbey via the Mulde River to Höfgen. A visit to this small village with the restored Wehrkirche church and the impressive water mill is always worth a visit. The historic city of Leipzig is also within easy reach of the hotel. You can visit the exhibition centre, the beautiful city centre, with its Battle of the Nations monument and St Thomas’ Church. You can also take day-trips to the lakes around the town of Markkleeberg.

Travel information

Take the Grimma exit on the A14 motorway, and follow the B107 towards Colditz. On the far edge of town you will find the district of Nimbschen.
