Mariánske lázne is doubtlessly one of the most charming spa places in the Czech Republic.The spa treatment is based on using natural medicinal sources-mineral springs, peat, natural gas CO2 and very good climatic conditions. Mariánske lázne lies in a beautiful valley in the middle of the natur nearby of the spas Karlovy Vary, Františkové lázne. The spa history is not long but for that, all the more interesting. In the place, where in the 18th century it was still dominated by swamps and impenetrable forests, the elegant town, with modern buildings and of large public interest, originated. The town is located in a region, which is extremely rich in natural medicinal sources. There rises about 100 springs in a small area. Mineral springs are used for preparing mineral baths, for drinking cures and inhalations. The spa offers a wide spectrum of cultural and sport opportunities. Among the Dominants of the town is the Singing Fountain, then the Theater, churches, synagoga, and the Casino. At the Spacolonnade are every year organized Concerts, and the Seasonopening. The interesting trips in surroundings are: castle and spa Kynzvart, castle Loket, Monastery in Tepla, castle Bečov nad Teplou.
